How To Make Your Bathroom A Safer Place

Your bathroom is one of the most accident prone rooms in your home. Water and hard surfaces can make anyone slip and fall. This only makes things harder for people who have mobility issues. Luckily, you can prevent bathroom injuries by using the tips below.
  • Set the water heater to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. That way, you won't scald your skin when bathing.
  • Make sure that your bathroom floor is dry at all times. After all, wet tiles could cause a slip and fall accident.
  • Never use a towel rack to get your balance. Instead, have grab bars installed near your toilet and in your shower or bathtub.
  • Have a seat installed in your shower or bathtub. It will enable you to sit down as you bathe.
  • Consider increasing the height of your toilet seat.
Have A Walk-In Tub Installed
At Re-Bath of Richmond, your safety is our first priority. If you would like to improve the safety of your bathroom, consider our walk-in tubs. They are especially popular among ADA aging in place customers. Call 804-591-1621 today to schedule a free in-home estimate.
