4 DIY Bath Towel Storage Ideas

Wouldn't you love to have a bigger bathroom without the large price tag that comes along with a full renovation? Well, it’s quite possible. Let’s start by getting your bathroom organized and getting rid of clutter. You’ll be amazed and how much extra space you’ll have.

Getting the bathroom organized starts with storage. Sure, you might have a cabinet or a drawer already in place, but is that enough? If your bathroom still feels cluttered than the answer is most definitely, no. It’s time to come up with a few clever storage solutions that you can build yourself - most of them are quick and simple:
  • Hang baskets on the wall. All you need is a couple of screws, a screwdriver and some wire baskets. They’ll be perfect for storing towels and toilet paper.
  • Hang a few towel racks. It’s common to see a towel rack in a bathroom, but why stop at just one? Hanging a few on the back of the door is an excellent way to store more than one towel. Plus, they’ll look better back there than stuffed into a corner or placed on top of the counter.
  • Don’t throw out that old wine rack. Roll your towels instead of folding them flat and place them on a wine rack. Not only can you store a bunch of towels at once, it’ll add a bit artistic creativity to your bathroom.
  • Not into the towel rack or wine rack ideas? Hang a few antique door knobs on the wall. They act like hooks but add more character.

The Best Way To Cut Through Soap Scum

Take a look at those glass shower doors of yours - scary, right? Well, they don’t have to frighten you every time you look at them after all, they’re supposed to be one of the focal points in your bathroom. Cut through soap scum and water spots fast and make your shower doors sparkle with the cleaning method below:

Hate cleaning? You’re not alone. However, with this quick process it won’t feel like such a burden and you’ll be left with a beautiful bathroom once again. All you need to wipe away dirty spots on your glass shower doors is a bit of vinegar, some water water and a microfiber cloth.

Simply mix 1 cup of warm water with 1 cup of vinegar in a spray bottle and spray a liberal amount on the doors. Let it sit for 30 seconds to a minute and then wipe away with a microfiber cloth. Pro Tip: mix a bit of fresh lemon juice into the bottle to create a more pleasant scent.

If your doors are really soiled, you may want to give baking soda a shot. Mix a few teaspoons with warm water and apply directly to the glass. Let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe away. Rinse with clean warm water when you are finished.
